Itinerary

Route 1Monument to Camarón

We start the route visiting the monument to Camarón, erected in 1992 and created by Antonio Mota. This monument is located in the square called Camarón de la Isla, formerly called Juan Vargas square, in honor of the Vargas inn, where Camarón de la Isla used to sing.

Route 2Camarón de la Isla's Mausoleum

We will continue our tour along Calle Real, and after taking Calle General García de la Herrán, we will enter the Cañailla cemetery, where the Mausoleum of Camarón is located.

Route 3Peña Camarón

Afterwards, we will cross Almirante Laulhé Park to reach Camarón’s peña, where we will taste some typical tapas of the area, while they tell us about the life of this great artist.

Route 4House of Camarón de la Isla

We will continue our route walking along Carmen Street, where at the end is the house where Camarón de la Isla was born and grew up, converted into a house museum that we will visit.
