Medina Sidonia is a Spanish municipality, capital of the region of La Janda.

Medina Sidonia is called the balcony of the Bay of Cadiz.

It is constituted as one of the most important historical-artistic complexes formerly walled Andalusia.

Medina Sidonia is located in one of the most spectacular natural areas of Spain, the region of the lagoon of La Janda.

Route 1Belen Arch

The Belen Arch built between the tenth and thirteenth centuries was one of the three gates of Medina Sidonia when it was a walled enclosure. It is of Muslim origin.

Route 2Santamaría la Mayor Church

This 16th century church is considered to be of tourist interest.
It is seated on an old mosque.
It is of Gothic-Renaissance style.
To emphasize of this church the main altarpiece, of plateresque style, that with its 15 meters high and its forty columns, relates the mysteries of the life of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary.

Route 3Medina Sidonia Castle

The castle, located 300 meters above sea level, offers wonderful views and surroundings.

Route 4Roman Archaeological Ensemble

Hydraulic construction of the century A.D.

It is 20 meters of subway gallery that functioned as a sewage system in Roman times.

It is formed by three different structures:
